How to move EVE-NG VM to a different Drive on your PC ? | VMware Workstation

In a scenario where the VM config file is located in your C drive and the drive is running out of space. You might face issues with the VM performance , running  labs might get stuck in the middle, you might face issues in adding new nodes to your lab. In this case if you have another drive with sufficient amount of space , you can move the VM to the respective drive.

First shutdown the VM (do not suspend) then copy the complete VM directory to the desired Drive. Here I have copied from C to D drive. once the files are copied to the new drive, open the .vmx file and the VM will be opened in the VMware Workstation.

Power on the virtual machine and you will get a dialogue box saying this virtual machine might have been moved or copied. Click I Moved It and once the VM starts add a new lab and add few nodes and make sure that everything is working as expected.
Note:  Previously created labs might not work.
