How to change the URL of published posts in Blogger

When you publish a post, the URL will be automatically generated by blogger. As a best practice it's good to include the keywords of each post in the URL. If you write a post with a lengthy title, then the blogger will generate a lengthy URL. Considering the SEO, it's good to have a short URL with relevant keywords targeting the right audience.

If you wish to change the URL of an already published post, then you have landed on the right page. Yes, it's possible to change your published posts URLs on blogger. If you're page is already indexed on google, then you have to request indexing again after changing the URL.

To change the URL of a post, go to the blogger dashboard and select the relevant post and click Revert to draft option.

Now click Permalink and select Custom Permalink and set a custom URL for the post and publish.

Note:

When you're writing a new post you can straight away select the Custom Permalink and provide a URL of you're own to avoid getting auto generated URL.
