How to find the Wi-Fi password you are currently connected to

Instead of going into command prompt and typing the commands , you can find out the Wi-Fi password to which you're currently connected to very easily. But you can also use windows command prompt to retrieve the password as well. You can read the article here to find out how it is done.

In this example I have connected to the SSID Tech world. Let's see how we can find the password.

First, right click on the Wi-Fi icon on the taskbar and click 'Open Network & Internet settings'.

Select Wi-Fi and click 'Change adapter options' under Related settings.

Double click on the wireless adapter and click 'wireless properties'.

Under the Security tab the password is available in the 'Network security key' field. Select 'show characters' to view the password.
